Smartphones estimates explode

by Jeremy on February 2, 2009

Smartphone sales ‘to hit 300 million by 2013’

Until fairly recently smartphones were only used by the tech savvy and people who are “gadget people”.  These people are what are referred to as early adopters.  It is now very rapidly moving toward mainstream adoption of the smart phone technologies.

Add this explosion with the movement of many software packages to the “Software as a service” model where they are being provided from the web instead of being installed on machines will drastically shift the face of technology.
