Virtual Office – Use Metrics and Management

by Jeremy on February 5, 2009

A couple of months ago I wrote a post about the reasons that virtual offices can work but the problems with the current model named “How can a virtual office work??“.  This happens to be a one of my interests in business.  So, I found this set of articles and thought that Tim Berry did a fantastic job of describing some of the considerations for virtual office.  I think that Tim and I are in agreement that virtual offices can work if proper management is in place.

Accountability Part 1: War of the Worlds

Accountability Part 2: Both Sides Now

Accountability Part 3: Metrics and Management

Take a look at the articles and let me know your thoughts.  My intention is write a few more virtual office posts over the next couple of weeks to discuss this topic further.

Would you ever consider virtual office for your business?  Would the business you work for ever consider virtual office?  If not, what is the #1 hurdle?
