As I was looking through some of our recent posts it really struck me how much opportunity there is for small business to have world class software available to them for small amount of expense. Our recent articles outline a few (Google Docs, Mozy, Netbriefings.com Proclaim, Zoho.com). There are many other tools out there for other aspects of your business as well.
Once you have decided on what products fit your needs (and we’ll help you get there) the next step is how do they work in my business. Another amazing thing about most of the products is that they are customizable and can be integrated into your existing systems or with other tools available.
As an example, I had a partner at a company that integrated their Salesforce.com setup with their Quickbooks.com account. Along with some customization and automation in Salesforce.com they were able to automatically track all the people they talked to and projects that they worked on from initial contact through project invoice. This allowed them to have all the information in one place and have many tasks done automatically by the system at the right timeframes.
