Last week, Robert wrote a review of a great product called TweetLater. That is great tool to allow you to plan out tweets and have them sent at specific times. There are some other great tools that will allow you to be more efficient when using Twitter. One of those tools is TwitterFeed.
As I am sure you will agree sometimes it is difficult to keep up with your blog and the social networks. How do you let your followers on Twitter know that you have just posted some new content to your blog(s)? That is where TwitterFeed comes in. This tool is very simple yet powerful. Best of all, it is also free. It simply reads the RSS feeds that you specify and tweets any new entries that it finds.
It is very simple to setup. You simply create an account. Add the specified feeds that you are interested in watching and tell it how often you want them to be watched and the tool starts working. You also have the ability to prefix your feeds (great for use with hashtags), shorten links with a tool like tinyurl, and even create filters for the feeds.
You can share any feed that you are interested in tweeting about. I share the feeds from my blogs and also I share the Google Reader “shared” feed. This means that any new article I find in Google Reader that I like I can simply click the Share icon and it will be tweeted.
TwitterFeed is something that I would definitely consider an efficiency tool. It will make you more efficient and production because it will share the content that you are creating without you having to do anything extra. Simple to use and very useful.
