Okay, I have heard about many CRM tools but my real question is:

“What is the BEST online CRM tool available?”

If one of your friends was starting a new business and needed a CRM what would you recommend?  Let me know what you think…

For starters I would recommend ZOHO. Extremely functional and free for up to 3 users. Downside – no mobile web connection. From there he/she may elect to take a look at Salesforce.com if the extra features are worth the extra 65/month/user.

Very interesting… I have heard much about Zoho. Definitely one that I want to further review. Saleforce definitely seems like a good option but seems like it could be viewed as quite expensive for small biz. Interesting comments. Thank you!

For a service based business Moobiz http://www.moobiz.com is well worth a look, the power of a CRM comes with how you can leverage the information it contains.

Moobiz uses it’s CRM to power: cost proposals, invoicing, accounting, ecommerce, website management and email marketing amongst other things.

There are a TON of CRMs out there, and really I think it depends on what the needs of your business are i.e. how intense is your sales pipeline or how much does support figure into the equation. I’ve tried Zoho and it’s definitely full of features. Salesforce is the same way. I personally use Highrise by 37Signals, just because it’s simple. It also lets you tag people however you want which I love. Not saying it’s the best, but it works great for my needs.

@Matt ~ Thanks for letting me know about your product… I’ll definitely have to check it out.

@Dave ~ I had looked at Highrise a little at one point but never really researched it. I am going to have to take another look at it as well.

I would recommend Salesnexus. Check it out. It is built for smaller to mid-size businesses, it is affordable and their customer service is exceptional.

I currently use Highrise. I really like it.
I am looking at moving to Evernote to simply have all my notes and contacts in one login though.
