Where are we going?

June 15, 2010

Have you ever really considered how much impact technology has had on our lives over the last 20 years?  Mobile technology? Desktop/laptop computers? The Internet? I would say that it is very truly revolutionary to our culture and our society and I don’t believe that is overstating it in any way.  Just look at three [...]

Instantly Improve online collaboration

I was contacted a few weeks ago about an opportunity to be a Business Technology Examiner for the Kansas City focused Examiner.com.  I decided I would give it a try.  Here is my first official offering for the site.  It’s an adaptation of something that I wrote for RefocusingTechnology.com a couple of months ago.  Come [...]

Choose the Passion

June 10, 2010

Over the past few months, I have had a goal to finish at least one non-fiction book a month.  I actually like reading non-fiction so that’s fine and a book a month really shouldn’t be that much.  It is really more about the motivation and setting a goal.  Anyway, in June the book on tap [...]

RefocusingWP: Excuse my apostrophe!!

May 21, 2010

Just found out a little tidbit… IE can not handle the HTML character “'”.  It doesn’t render it.  Firefox and Chome handle it without issue but apparently, IE doesn’t.  So you’ll simply see “Let's” instead of “Let’s”. Get rid of that fax!

May 4, 2010

Recently in dealing with a benefits provider, I really thought about the use of fax machines.  They requested that I fax something over to them and when I asked if I could email it instead they actually paused to think about it. Back in the day, I understand that fax machines really served a purpose. [...]

New Sub Site – Refocusing WordPress

May 3, 2010

A few weeks ago our friend Dave (aka the AnywhereMan) had a great post on his blog about setting up sub-businesses/subsites to promote certain things that your company does. It made a huge amount of sense to me because it would allow the company to break down services further and better outline them.  Plus things don’t [...]
